Our ethics

Our ethical principles are the values that set the ground rules for all that we do as a company.  As we seek to achieve commercial success, we may be challenged to balance these principles against each other.  Our ethics shall determine how we can operate efficiently, profitably and maintain adherence to our code of practice.

HONESTY: We will not say things that are false. We will never deliberately mislead. We will be candid as possible, openly and freely sharing information, as appropriate. We shall respect and protect privileged information to which we have access in the course of our relationship and beyond.

RESPECT: We will respect the structure and responsibilities of the Company and our customers and provide facts and advice as a basis for policy decisions. We shall demonstrate the highest standards of personal integrity, truthfulness, honesty, and fortitude in all our activities in order to inspire confidence and trust in our activities. We shall avoid any interest or activity that is in conflict with this policy or the policy of our customers.

PROMISE-KEEPING: We will go to great lengths to keep our commitments. We will not make promises that cannot be kept. In unforeseen circumstances which may test our commitment, we shall openly discuss the occurrence, and offer alternatives to try and maintain our promise.

FAIRNESS: We will create and follow a process and achieve outcomes that a reasonable person would call just, evenhanded and not arbitrary. We will base decisions involving people at all levels using a principle of diversity awareness.

RESPECT FOR OTHERS: We will be open and direct in our communication, and receptive to influence. We will honour and value the abilities and contributions of others, embracing the responsibility and accountability for our actions in this regard. We shall conduct our organisational and operational duties with positive leadership exemplified by open communication, creativity, dedication, and compassion. We will not tolerate discrimination in business relationships, employment, recruitment, and other conditions of employment against employee or job applicant on the basis of race, creed, colour, national origin, disability or gender.

COMPASSION: We will maintain an awareness of the needs of others and act to meet those needs whenever possible. We will also minimise potential harm whenever possible. We will act in ways that are consistent with our commitment to social responsibility and will not accept decisions that contradict diversity awareness.

INTEGRITY: We will maintain our ethical principles, even when confronted by personal, professional and social risks, as well as economic pressures.
