Oracle Precision Joins Forces With Medical Precision Group

April 2025

Here at Oracle Precision Ltd, we are excited to announce that we have joined forces with Medical Precision Group as their second acquisition, to find out more please read the official press release below.

Medical Precision Group (MPG), a fast-growing contract manufacturing organisation (CMO) dedicated to the medical device sector, has announced its acquisition of South Yorkshire-based Oracle Precision. The deal marks MPG’s second strategic acquisition, following the successful onboarding of Kirkstall Precision Engineering into its growing network in July of 2024.

Founded in 2011, Oracle Precision is widely recognised for its CNC machining expertise, supplying high-quality, precision-engineered components across highly regulated sectors including medical device manufacturing, aerospace, gas detection, radar equipment, and fibre optics. The company is ISO 13485 compliant for medical devices and holds AS9100 certification for aerospace components, underscoring its steadfast commitment to quality and compliance.

With deep roots in the medical sector, Oracle Precision was co-founded by Shaun Palmer, Commercial Director, and Ryan Taylor, Operations Director. Together, they bring more than 45 years of combined experience in precision engineering.

“Oracle Precision is a natural fit for MPG’s expanding portfolio,” said Jon Lynch, Chief Financial Officer at Medical Precision Group. “With a proven track record in delivering quality-critical components, Shaun and Ryan have built a business grounded in engineering excellence, customer trust and strong supplier relationships. We’re delighted to welcome their leadership and expertise into the MPG family.”

Commenting on the acquisition, Shaun Palmer said: “We’re excited to join MPG and contribute to its mission to become the first-choice manufacturing partner for medical devices. This partnership brings new opportunities for investment, collaboration, and continued innovation – while remaining true to the values and relationships that define Oracle Precision.”

Ryan Taylor added: “Joining MPG is the ideal next step for a company like ours. Our team were incredibly supportive and excited when they heard the news. Programmes like the MPG Academy will develop their skills, and new investments in machinery will help us grow even bigger and better.”
