Oracle Precision boosts capacity with O2 factory

Oracle Precision are on the move to a new factory which will quadruple our manufacturing capacity allowing us to develop our specialist safety critical sector components and add to our skilled workforce.

Our new factory at Unit 4, Houndhill Business Park, Wath-Upon-Dearne, Rotherham S63 7LG, will house our expanding specialist Aerospace, Rail and other manufacturing, while our original plant at Unit 7a, Shortwood Business Park, Hoyland, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, S74 9LH, will be dedicated to medical component production.

The move was imperative following a record year in 2017 that has continued into 2018 with increased demand coming specifically from Aerospace and Medical, for which we have recently achieved ISO accreditations.

To cope with the demand Oracle Precision has also invested heavily in new plant machinery. We have already installed two new Star Sliding head machines, which will join laser marking, passivation and the latest non contact laser inspection equipment at our Shortwood factory to be known as O1.

We will continue to install other state of the art machinery at O2, our new factory over the summer. At the same time, to support our production and service delivery we have expanded our team by two skilled people with more expected to join as we settle into our new workspaces.

To guarantee seamless production and customer service both factories have been accredited with the ISO 9001: 2015 plus Aerospace AS9100 Rev D, and Medical Device ISO 13485.
