It was a weekend of mixed emotions for our sponsored football teams, Kitlocker Black and Kitlocker White U17’s, as they continued their campaigns in their respective divisions and cup competitions.
Kitlocker Black Go Top of Division B
Kitlocker Black secured a crucial 3-1 victory over Porter, a result that sends them to the top of Division B. The team battled hard to earn the three points, showing resilience and quality throughout the match. With two games in hand over second place, they are now in a commanding position in the title race, and their ambitions of lifting the league trophy look increasingly promising.
Cup Heartbreak for Kitlocker White
Meanwhile, Kitlocker White faced a tough challenge in the League Cup Semi-Final against a side that has maintained a perfect record this season. Despite starting brilliantly and dominating much of the first half, they were undone by two quick counter-attacks from an extremely direct opponent, ultimately falling to a 3-0 defeat. It was a difficult result to take, but the team can be proud of their efforts and performance.
Kitlocker White currently sit 4th in Division A, a testament to their consistent performances throughout the season. They should hold their heads high as they push forward in their league campaign, aiming to finish strongly.
